fewer TV charity shows

Charity shows on tv where celebrities sing, dance or perform stunts while people call in to donate-appear to have lost their shine. There will be only 3 such shows this year compared to its peak of 6 or so a year several years ago.

There would not be as many charity shows this year due to the gloomy economy so,they are not confindent of pulling in the millions in donations needed to make the event worthwhile.I think that it might also be good not to have charity shows once in a while as it uses millions of dollars. Also, people would build up excitement when they know that the charity show might be different then before. On the other hand,if there are more charity shows and they keep getting better, more people would want to watch it and those kind-hearted people would make donations if they had enough money. Not to forget, the people doing the stunts needs time to pratice so that the show would be a success. If the practice uses time, there would not be a variety of stunts, thus, there would be lesser people supporting and donating. Also,if there is not enough practice for the stunt, the person doing the stunt would get injured or worst still,in a serious case, death.I am sure that the fund raiser would not have enough money to cover the hospital bill as they had spent millions for the stagging.Overall,I think it is both good and bad for charity shows.
