Hi and sorry 4 the late postings...Did not use the computer...So I am going to write my news and opinions now...

1)A rally by thousands of protesters outside the Thai parliament building forced the government to delay Prime Minister Abhisit's first policy address.The government says that they have no choice but to delay the meeting while the authoroties negotiated with the protesters' leader. One of the protesters had stated their reasons for protesting. They said that they wanted Mr. Abhisit to step down because he has no legitimacy.

My opinions:Mr. Abhisit should probrably apologise or pledge like he will do something or become more legitimate. It is also the protesters fault as they should respect the country's decision. They must give Mr. Abhisit time to show that he is a capable leader.And recently, thailand's economic didn't drop greatly just because Mr. Abhisit didn't know how to control the government.I think Mr.Abhist got picked by the parliment,he should do the job well.

2)Thirty-two people died in two separate accidents in China on Saturday, as explosives went off in a rural area while a lift crashed on an urban building site.Fifteen people died and nine were injured.In the first of the incidents, a blast erupted at 1.12 am in the village of Donggancheng.In the day's second serious incident, 17 people died after a construction lift crashed to the ground on a building site.

my opinions:I think that china's contractor's had not been taking safety precautions.The family of those who had died should have finacial difficulties as one of their family members who is supporoting them had died.I f this continues,more people would not want to become construction workers.When there are no more consruction workers,no new houses would be made,leading a downfall to the human population as no houses couuld be built for the growing population.

3)A lorry truck was found with $620,000 worth of potential costoms duty and GST payable and unregistered cigarettes.ICA said the duty-unpaid cigarettes were hidden within a consignment that was declared as mixed hardwood sawn timber.The 8110 packets of cigarettes were discovered when the malaysian lorry checked past the woodlands costoms complex.

my opinions:It would be very unfair to other people because others had payed their taxes while the person who smuggled the cigarettes did not pay his tax.If the person smuggled more packets of cigarettes,he could sell it and make a profit but if a person paid his tax he would earn lesser money than the man who smuggled the cigarettes.

4)The Singapore flyer broke down.23 cabins were occupied out of 28 cabins.Passengers had to get down from a very high level.

my opinions:The flyer should be mantained as it is one of Singapore's tourist's spots.SO when the flyer broke down,it would give tourists a bad impresion of Singapore and they might not want to come back to SIngapore again.Because of the breakdown,my family was not able to do to the flyer on the twenty-six of december.If tourists do not come,Singapore might loose money and it would become a great lose.
